Summer Baseball
Join the first PJ23 summer baseball team!
PJ23 summer league is for all incoming freshmen and all current freshmen baseball players. For further information or to register, please contact Dr. Braunreiter at davidbraunreiter@comcast.net.
My intention is to help bring a Mickey Mantle type team to the school, much like all the other high schools in the area, so they could learn each other, develop some chemistry and new friendships, as well as the type of system they may be playing at school. There are no leagues available for a new private school team, so plans changed. Current plans are to develop a USSSA team that could play in tournaments rather than a league. I think this would be better anyways, as the number of games they can play in will be more than in a league format. If it sticks, they could stay together, for as long as they wish, outside of the regular team as well.
Right now, we have 5-6 boys interested. I am hoping to tie things together
very, very soon to start arranging for practices and setting up tournament
schedules, etc. I think this could be the foundation of something special. I
have spoken at length with Scot Mills about this, and he couldn’t be more
excited about getting started as well.
Hopefully, we will be able to field about 15 players. I may be asking to have the outgoing freshman (there are three) to participate as well if the numbers need to be buffed up, and the incoming freshman can play up a year.
Please let me know ASAP if you are interested.
