Class of 2008
Sam Jacobi and Cheryl Farr, have recently become engaged after over 6 years of dating. They met as sophomores at Pope John XXIII after hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans causing Sam to evacuate to Houston with his family. Cheryl says, “We began our relationship as juniors and both graduated as part of the founding class of Pope John in 2008. We then both attended and graduated from the University of Houston. I am excited to say that we are getting married in April, 2014.”
Christina Hink will be attending University College London in the fall of 2013, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies.
Kathleen Longsworth graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Psychology in May 2012. Recently chosen to present 3 research articles conducted with supervising occupational therapist at the ASHT 36th Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL this October.
Class of 2009
Andrew Emerick will be starting graduate school at Columbia University in the fall, pursuing a Ph.D in Astronomy with an intended focus in computational astrophysics.
Lauren Hoth will be starting pharmacy school at the University of Tennessee’s College of Pharmacy in Memphis in the fall.
Chris Panaligan graduated from the University of San Francisco in May with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree. He plans on taking his state board exams in the summer and starting his career in an ICU in the fall.
Jessica Tello graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business. She is a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, Theta Omega National Honor Society for Religious Studies and Theology, Phi Sigma Tau International Honor Society in Philosophy. Aquinas Honor Society, and was nominated for Most Outstanding General Business Graduate, April 2013. She will be beginning an internship at CyrusOne in July.
Class of 2010
John Halbach is currently a junior at Mississippi State University, majoring in Agricultural Economics. This summer, John has an internship in Brillion, Wisconson, at a dairy farm.
Katherine Sepe was elected the Catholic Student Association President at Texas A&M University for 2013-2014. CSA is the largest organization on campus with over 12,500 members. She has an internship with National Oilwell Varco this summer.
Class of 2011
Helcio Sumbe will begin serving as the Chancellor for Knights of Columbus College Council #13577 at Baylor University in the fall of 2013.
Class of 2012
Claire Gilroy made the Dean’s List at Texas A&M at Galveston.
Meagan Magaldi made the Dean’s List at Tulane University. She serves as the Vice President of Tulane Students for Life, Secretary of the Science & Engineering Honor Society, and the Service Chair of the Tulane Catholic Center.
Vincent Romano made the Dean’s List at the University of Dallas for the 2012-2013 term and will studying abroad in Rome his sophomore year, from August to December 2013.
Jacob Troutman made the President's Honor List for the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 Semesters at McNeese State University; Vice-President of Spirituality of the McNeese Newman Club; Associate Editor-in-Chief of the McNeese Newspaper (The Contaband)
Kate Woodrum was named an Andrew’s Scholar for a Summer Service Learning Program where she is teaching at an inner city school in Newark, NJ.

Clare Gause will be competing in the USA Climbing National Championships in Atlanta, GA this summer.
