Liturgy and Worship
As the source and
summit of our lives and a participation in the one saving act of
Christ all of our liturgical action and worship is centered upon the
Eucharist. We are blessed to have a very involved student body who
serve as altar servers, choir members, lectors, Extraordinary
Ministers of Holy Communion and as ushers. If you are interested in
one of these ministries see Mr. Nichols, Mr. Millare or Mrs. Sanders.
Not only do we begin and end each day in prayer, as members of the
Body of Christ, we are transformed in prayer by:
- Weekly all
school Masses
- Holy Days of
Obligation
- Morning Prayer
before Christ in the tabernacle (optional)
- The Angelus
(daily) and the Regina Coeli (during Easter season)
- Praise and worship
during Adoration
- Advent and Lenten
penance services with Benediction
- Monthly
opportunity for Confession
- Retreats with
quiet prayer before Christ in the Blessed Sacrament
- The rosary
- Stations of the
Cross (during Lent)
Parents are invited
to offer an hour of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament every first
Wednesday of the month. Please contact Mr. Nichols at
anichols@pj23.org for more information.
Our students, faculty
and staff love when our parents, friends and benefactors join us for
Mass.
